HISTORY.

_ 2013 | Scott (Gravity Plumbing Ltd.) + Chelsey (Bark Design Studio) started renting this space on Winnipeg St.

They joke that they 'put lipstick on a pig' and devoted lots of hours to fixing up the inside to be workable for both of their businesses and the outside to not look like such a hole in the wall on Winnipeg Street. Scott's plumbing business needed a morning meeting spot and a place to keep their parts and Chelsey needed a spot for her and her employees to work from; short term this place did just the trick. The building was in rough shape but served its purpose for many years.

_ 2018 | Gravity Plumbing Ltd. bought the land and building

(now co-owned by Scott + Ty)

Gravity + Bark ran successful businesses in this location until...

_ 2018 | The idea of SLANT is born

After years of putting up with many inconveniences in the building and it no longer supporting the business growth that Chelsey envisioned for her company, she was faced with the option to look for a new space or convince her hubby to rebuild on this lot that they now owned. (By reading this, I'm sure you have guessed which way she went hehe). Chelsey had a vision to create an inspiring space for likeminded creative entrepreneurs to flourish in their own businesses. Collaboration, community and creativity all in one place.

_ 2019 | Planning with Alton Tangedal commenced

_ 2021 | Demolition of the old building (June)

_ 2021 | Construction Begins (Late Summer)

_ 2022 | Finishing Stage + Move In!
